My son is 13 years old and he is inferior

My son is 13 years and I have neglected him for the past 3 years. He seems to be shying away from everybody, including us. I have no idea what to do with this situation. I have tried to talk to him but he just keep silence. Is that what we call inferiority syndrome? What can we do? Any Idea?

Bring him out to public places and let him join a lot of activities.
